It’s time to Blow the Whistle on the NRA

The National Rifle Association of America may be violating the law by having status as a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization. It’s time to blow the whistle on the organization that is at the core of war-grade weapons remaining in the hands of untrained civilians.

The Internal Revenue Service provides a method for citizens to blow the whistle on people or organizations they believe are in violation of U.S. tax laws. Download the IRS form needed to report the NRA as a potential violator of U.S. tax law.

Tick the box for these violations:
Organization is involved in a political campaign.
Organization is engaged in excessive lobbying activities.

Add in “Other” Section:
Organization makes direct contributions to political campaigns, PACs, or political parties; participation in political campaigns is more than half of its activities; does not operate exclusively for the common good and general welfare of the people; it’s primary purpose for existence is political in nature; by lobbying against a ban on military grade weapons in civilian hands, it puts public safety in jeopardy.
