Training and Educational Resources
National Democratic Training Committee
Resistance School is a free four-week practical training program to sharpen the tools we need to fight back at the federal, state, and local levels. Our goal is to keep the embers of resistance alive through concrete learning, community engagement, and forward-looking action.
Center for Political Education
Dedicated to building strong movements and the left through education, analysis, theory, dialogue and activism. The Center for Political Education is a resource for political organizations on the left, progressive social movements, the working class and people of color. It is anchored by a collective of individuals active in day-to-day struggles in the Bay Area. Our political approach is non-sectarian, democratic, and committed to a critical analysis of local, regional and global politics. We believe that the current political conditions call for organizing and movement building, and that theory and ideas are important tools for movement building.
SURJ Political Education
SURJ has a goal of mobilizing 7 million white people to show up for racial justice. We do political education with each other in service of this goal, to support better understanding of why we’re in the mess we’re in as well as how we’re going to move steadily and surely forward with a focus on racial justice and its intersection with all forms of liberation and justice.

Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education.― Franklin D. Roosevelt
