Greetings all,
We had such an incredible time at the Kansas State Fair this year! From morning until evening, folks from all across the state stopped by the Kansas Democratic Party booth to visit, share their stories, and talk about the issues that matter most in their communities.
Every handshake, every conversation, and every smile reminded us why this work is so important. The energy, excitement, and genuine connection we felt at the fair show just how strong and hopeful our Kansas community truly is.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by—you made this year’s fair one to remember. We can’t wait to carry this momentum forward and keep building a brighter future for Kansas together!

Amber Schmidt worked to develop a group that would "bring together citizens of Shawnee County to discuss social and political issues which affect our common lives as citizens."
To do this, she says, the group will:
- Have regular meetings for an organization committee.
- Listen to and encourage exchanges between persons of various social and political backgrounds either one-on-one or in small groups.
- Work for results as contributing citizens which will in turn affect our future in Shawnee County and in the country as well.
Goal Statement: To bring together voters and citizens of Shawnee County to encourage position change through discussion of the social and political issues in our shared life as common citizens. All perspectives are welcome, kindness and respect required.
To do this, the group will:
- Provide opportunities to learn and refine Crucial Conversation skills including finding common ground, handling inflammatory conversations and conflict resolution,
- Work for results as contributing citizens to support positive change in Shawnee County.
For more info, contact Amber Schmidt by email at schmidttrocker22@gmail.com or call/text her at 316-727-6468.
