WCF is dedicated to advancing the political participation and leadership of women who support reproductive health choices for all. The oldest of its kind, WCF is a non-partisan, national organization that supports women candidates who respect reproductive health choices from the very beginning of their public life. Not bound by party politics, WCF gives the kind of focused care a woman candidate needs, when and where she needs it. WCF focuses on the woman, not only the race she happens to be in, and supports her throughout her public service career.

CAWP’s mission is to promote greater knowledge and understanding about women’s participation in politics and government, and to enhance women’s influence and leadership in public life. Visit our web site at http://www.cawp.rutgers.edu. The Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is nationally recognized as the leading source of scholarly research and current data about American women’s political participation. CAWP’s education and outreach programs translate research findings into action, addressing women’s under-representation in political leadership with effective, imaginative programs serving a variety of audiences. As the world has watched Americans considering female candidates for the nation’s highest offices, CAWP’s nearly four decades of analyzing and interpreting women’s participation in American politics have provided a foundation and context for the discussion.

True Blue Women

True Blue Women gathers progressive women to provide education, advocate social change, and promote camaraderie. True Blue Women began in Overland Park, Kansas after the November 2004 election. Disheartened by the outcome, we decided to gather like-minded women to take action. Our first action was to mobilize against writing discrimination into the Kansas constitution. Our message: Celebrate Commitment, Value Tolerance, was spread throughout the Kansas City metro area through yard signs, bumper stickers and media exposure. Other priorities include:
- Advocating fair and equitable funding of education, health care and social services for all children.
- Supporting women’s access to health care and reproductive choice.
- Encouraging government and business policies that support family values by giving first priority to the economic and social needs of all families.
- Working for high educational standards in public schools, including instruction in the principles of mainstream science.
- Promoting conservation and the responsible use of environmental resources.

Choice is the opportunity to make decisions about your body, life and family autonomously, and to have the access to resources to make those decisions. Limited access means limited choice, and that’s why Trust Women’s vision is that all women will have access to health care, including abortions, regardless of where they live or their ability to pay.
