Need a ride to your Polling Place? We Got you!

Topeka Metro: Reported in August 2024 that they plan to offer free rides to the polls for the General Election. If they decide to offer this service, there will be flyers and signs on bus routes. https://www.topekametro.org/

East Topeka Senior Center: Reported in August 2024, They will be offering rides to the seniors who attend the senior center for early voting only. https://www.easttopekaseniors.org/

The Shawnee County Election Office has over 1,500 Election Workers who help make Election Day successful.


We are continually in need of more individuals within the pool (K.S.A. 25-2804) from which Election Workers are appointed. If you would like to become an Election Worker, please apply to become an Election Worker.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a resident of Shawnee County, Kansas
  2. Must be at least 16 years of age and an American citizen
  3. Must be registered to vote at current address
  4. Completion of Election Worker Training is required
  5. Oath or affirmation of office is required
  6. Additional limitations apply for specific elections
