Greetings all,
Last month brought a wave of Republican announcements for the Kansas Governor’s race, while on the Democratic side, Ethan Corson announced his run along with Cindy Holscher, who announced her candidacy back in June. Holsher is currently the State Senator for District 8. If you are new to our newsletter, Welcome! Please remember that we will have several opportunities coming up in support of Democratic candidates running in various seats in the elections next year! The rallies and protests are great for getting attention to certain issues, but all of the rallies and protests are for nothing if Democratic candidates do not actually win elections and we need your help!

Become a precinct committee person
- Keep your neighbors informed about upcoming elections and educate them on the key issues
- Organize local political efforts and connect neighbors

There are Primary elections for Mayor and District 1. Not sure if you are in District 1, view the City Council District Map or Check your Voter Registration. Early voting at the Shawnee County Election office ends August 4 at Noon. Polls will open at your regular voting location at 7 am August 5, polls close at 7 pm.
